春秋时期，晋平公问大夫祁黄羊谁担任南阳县令合适，祁黄羊推荐解狐，晋平公问他怎么推荐仇人，他说任人唯贤，解狐不负众望。朝廷缺一个军中尉，祁黄羊推荐儿子祁午，祁午也干得相当出色。孔子说祁黄羊推荐人才真是大公无私。
