范雎随魏国中大夫须贾出使齐国，须贾怀疑他通齐，回国后报告魏相。范雎含冤被打伤，改名张禄逃到秦国当上宰相。须贾出使秦国，范雎扮作寒酸落魄的穷人去见他。须贾见他一寒如此送他绨袍，待发现他是秦相时吓得一再谢罪。范雎没有杀他。
