1993年8月，济南军区某部中士徐洪刚探亲期满乘车返队，在车上遇到几个歹徒在调戏一个女青年，并肆无忌惮耍流氓，徐洪刚这时立即见义勇为，毫不犹豫上前制止，被歹徒连刺多刀，他顽强地追赶歹徒，被授予英雄称号。
