汉哀帝听信尚书令赵昌的谗言，责问尚书仆射郑崇为什么他家来往的人像赶集一样，是否在密谋不轨。郑崇说虽然臣门如市，但是我忠君之心像水一样明澈见底，丝毫没有二心。汉哀帝为报郑崇谏他泡男妓董贤的仇恨，将郑崇抓进大牢。
