诗味有甘苦，作者当自知。譬如啜好茗，惟苦乃见奇。
鹿鸣继二南，世岂无甘诗。甘境未可久，苦则长相随。
人生遇多舛，大块气常噫。湍濑水有声，惊飙木摇枝。
韩以不平喻，欧以易好为。道苦终含甘，十苦宁能辞。
苦自众心有，健者一吐之。甘必自苦来，不则哺糟醨。
味得苦中甘，舌本方非痴。所以屈杜言，千古甘胜饴。

王易（1889~1956）语言学家，国学大师，擅长诗词。原名朝综，字晓湘，号简庵，江西南昌人。1889年农历7月27日生。王易1907年考入京师大学堂（北京大学前身）。1912年毕业。二十年代初，与彭泽、汪辟疆同时执教于心远大学。后远游北京执教于北京师范大学。1926年秋天，进东南大学（1928年更名为中央大学，南京大学的前身），任教七年。王易一生的辉煌时期是在中央大学。他和汪辟疆、柳诒徵、汪东、王伯沆、黄侃、胡翔东被称为“江南七彦”。王易多才博学。工宋诗，意境酷似陈简斋，书法初学灵飞经。写有多部著作如《修辞学通诠》。
