共和十二秋，国事无一好。迟迟甲子年，望治首同矫。
无何春气苏，入夏转淫潦。狂雨竟浃旬，堤溃墉亦倒。
蠢矣无支祁，鼓氛弥八表。百里绝炊烟，千村汇鱼沼。
流尸妇襁儿，幸活幼随老。琐尾知何穷，哀鸣动苍昊。
侧闻故老言，天意不可道。道光甲午间，后此见则少。
其时尚承平，逸乐久温饱。更阅十数年，半壁忽云扰。
天欲降大殃，或先示其兆。我闻色然疑，兹事竟幽眇。
国步颠已深，民劳休可小。河津入白鱼，道路逐陈宝。
炊淅矛剑头，亿兆委肝脑。辜眚纵难宽，行罚已非藐。

王易（1889~1956）语言学家，国学大师，擅长诗词。原名朝综，字晓湘，号简庵，江西南昌人。1889年农历7月27日生。王易1907年考入京师大学堂（北京大学前身）。1912年毕业。二十年代初，与彭泽、汪辟疆同时执教于心远大学。后远游北京执教于北京师范大学。1926年秋天，进东南大学（1928年更名为中央大学，南京大学的前身），任教七年。王易一生的辉煌时期是在中央大学。他和汪辟疆、柳诒徵、汪东、王伯沆、黄侃、胡翔东被称为“江南七彦”。王易多才博学。工宋诗，意境酷似陈简斋，书法初学灵飞经。写有多部著作如《修辞学通诠》。
