郑玉(公元734—802年)，字廷玉。原籍河南荥阳。其祖父郑亮在鄚州任司马，留居本地，遂为鄚人。其父郑泰，官至武卫大将军侍太常卿。明万历本《任丘县志》记载，郑玉私宅在莫亭县颂美里(鄚州城内)，幼年读书习武，有老成之风，至20岁有济世之才。贞元十八年(公元802年)郑玉死于莫亭，时年68岁。第二年葬于鄚州城南二十五里三方村之原。
