乔知之，唐（公元？年至六九七年）名不详，同州冯翊人。生年不详，卒于唐武后神功元年。与弟侃、备并以文词知名，知之尤有俊才，所作诗歌，时人多吟咏之。武后时，除右补阙。迁左司郎中。有婢名窈娘，美丽善歌舞，为武承嗣所夺。知之怨惜，因作绿珠篇以寄情，密送于窈娘。窈娘感愤，投井自杀。承嗣于衣带中见其诗，大恨，因讽酷吏罗织诛之。
