（1006—1097）汾州介休人，字宽夫。仁宗天圣五年进士。累迁殿中侍御史。庆历七年，任枢密副使、参知政事。以镇压贝州王则起义，拜同中书门下平章事。皇祐三年被劾罢相，出知许、青、永兴等州军。至和二年复相。嘉祐三年，出判河南等地，封潞国公。神宗朝，反对王安石变法，极论市易损国体，惹民怨，出判大名、河南府。元丰六年以太师致仕。哲宗元祐初，因司马光荐，为平章军国重事。五年，复致仕。历仕四朝，任将相五十年。卒谥忠烈。有《潞公集》。
