何事催人老？是几处、残山剩水，闲凭闲吊。此是青莲埋骨地，宅近谢家之脁。总一样，文人宿草。只为先生名在上，问青天，有句何能好？打一幅，思君稿。
梦中昨来逢君笑。把千年、蓬莱清浅，旧游相告。更问后来谁似我，我道：才如君少。有亦是，寒郊瘦岛。语罢看君长揖去，顿身轻、一叶如飞鸟。残梦醒，鸡鸣了。

译文
什么事才能这般催人老？残山剩水来到墓前凭吊。这里是青莲居士埋骨之地，谢脁也曾筑室在此地不远处。文人最后都是一样，化作一抔黄土，坟前长满杂草。先生诗名如此大，自己在墓前纵然写出诗句，与之相比又能好到何处？只仔细琢磨，作一首思君之作。
昨日梦中与君相会，有幸闻得先生一生所经历。梦中先生问我：在我身後可有与我相似的文人？我回答道：才能都比先生少。有也只是作出简啬孤峭的诗歌。语罢作长揖看君离去，身轻如飞鸟。突问鸡鸣梦醒。
注释
青莲：李白号青莲 居士。
宅近谢家之脁：谢脁任宣城太守时曾筑室青山，故青山又名谢公山。而李白墓也在青山，故云。
宿草：隔年之草。
蓬莱清浅：喻世事的巨大变化，犹“沧海桑田”。
蓬莱：传说中的海上仙山。
长揖（yī）： 一种礼节，拱手自上至极下。
顿：立即。

黄景仁（1749～1783），清代诗人。字汉镛，一字仲则，号鹿菲子，阳湖（今江苏省常州市）人。四岁而孤，家境清贫，少年时即负诗名，为谋生计，曾四方奔波。一生怀才不遇，穷困潦倒，后授县丞，未及补官即在贫病交加中客死他乡，年仅35岁。诗负盛名，为“毗陵七子”之一。诗学李白，所作多抒发穷愁不遇、寂寞凄怆之情怀，也有愤世嫉俗的篇章。七言诗极有特色。亦能词。著有《两当轩全集》。
