译文
春天使者姗姗前来访问，西湖水面换上绿色衣裙。
漫山遍野捧出七彩热情，花风落地一样唤人兴奋。
春来了，参军思绪乱如云，白发人，最怕题诗送青春。
我知道你摆好了湖中酒席，等待着老朋友来开怀畅饮。
遥遥万里你捎来一片春情，每到春来我暗暗感到心惊。
冰雪消融，门外千山碧绿，繁花争妍，江边二月多晴。
还记得，少年时，迎春畅饮，到如今，春草绿，两鬓如丝。
他乡作客，物态人情各异，东风情意，年年难舍难离。
注释
西湖：指许州（今河南许昌市）西湖。
谢法曹：即谢伯初，字景山，晋江（今属福建）人。当时在许州任司法参军。宋代州府置录事参军、司理参军、司法参军等属官，统称曹官，司法参军即称法曹。
归：回去，指春光将逝。
绿于染：比染过的丝绸还绿。
烂不收：指落花委地，难于收拾。
落如糁（sǎn）：碎米粒，引申指散粒状的东西，诗中形容飘落的花瓣。
参军：指谢伯初。
天涯万里人：诗人自指。
殊：不同，引申为“陌生”的意思。

春日西湖寄谢法曹歌创作背景
这首诗作于景祐四年（1037年）。景祐三年（1036年）十月，诗人因为支持范仲淹的政治革新和范仲淹对保守派的斗争，写信痛斥保守派谏官高若讷，被贬谪为峡州夷陵令。友人谢伯初从许州寄诗安慰他，他便写了这首诗作答。

春日西湖寄谢法曹歌鉴赏
诗的前四句写许州西湖春景：春来波绿，群芳烂漫，明媚旖旎，景致醉人。接下由景及人，转写诗友殷勤多情，特从这美丽的地方寄来美好情意，点明这首诗是回赠之作。“参军7春思乱如云，白发题诗愁送春。”写诗友虽已自发苍苍，但仍多愁善感，春思如云。谢伯初赠诗中有“多情未老已白发，野思到春乱如云”之句，诗人特别欣赏，故化用其意，描摹诗人白发多情，寥寥数笔，却十分生动传神。想象诗友独酌湖上，默默思念远方被贬的自己。读诗至此，方知前面写景用意并不仅仅在于咏叹西湖的自然风光，更是以美景烘托诗友的美好情谊。句中“天涯万里人”是诗人的自称，暗寓自己被贬夷陵的遭遇，同时将内容巧妙引向自己胸臆的抒发。
许州、夷陵两地相距遥远，又有山川阻隔，故诗人对诗友“万里”寄诗，传递春的消息和真挚友情激动不已，但同时因身遭斥逐，心情凄惶，忽睹春景，不禁心头震颤。门外绵绵远山残雪融尽，绿装重换。二月晴朗的阳光下，江边红花正争相吐艳，如此来去匆匆的春天，让人感叹如梭的光阴和稍纵即逝的美好年华。诗人触景伤怀，蓦然回首：昔日把酒对春、风流倜傥的少年，如今而立刚过，却已是鬓发苍苍。显然，一个事业、生活正在蓬勃向上的得意之士，是不太可能如斯身心俱老的，只有历经磨难者才每每会回味过去的大好时光。“异乡物态与人殊，惟有东风旧相识”，在这贬谪之地，诗人眼甲的一切都是那么陌生、冷淡，唯有岁岁年年按时相伴的春风仍是那么熟悉、亲切，似在安慰一颗孤寂的心。诗到此戛然而止，但意犹未尽，令读者回味无穷。
全诗以春为线索，既有对景物的描绘，又有诗友形象的勾勒和对原诗的化用l既有感于诗友的真挚睛怀，又低徊于自身的遭际，诗情沿这一线索逐层展开，前后承转不着痕迹，使诗篇情韵幽折，是一首酬唱诗的佳作。另外，诗人多处描摹明丽春景，虽有以明朗之景反衬其忧苦之心，今昔之感的用意，但那种或虚或实的反复咏叹，更多的是使诗篇交错洋溢着令人沉醉的气氛，一折一扬的处理，使诗之色彩也显得多变而迷人，诗之内涵也更加丰富，绝没有停留在一般的咏春主题上。全诗结构上由景及人，由景及情，层次分明，而接转自然，语言明白晓畅，体现了欧诗的基本特色。

欧阳修（1007－1072），字永叔，号醉翁，晚号“六一居士”。汉族，吉州永丰（今江西省永丰县）人，因吉州原属庐陵郡，以“庐陵欧阳修”自居。谥号文忠，世称欧阳文忠公。北宋政治家、文学家、史学家，与韩愈、柳宗元、王安石、苏洵、苏轼、苏辙、曾巩合称“唐宋八大家”。后人又将其与韩愈、柳宗元和苏轼合称“千古文章四大家”。
