释道川，号实际，姑苏玉峰（今江苏昆山）人。俗名狄三，初依东齐（《五灯会元》卷一二作斋）谦首座习法，改名道川。高宗建炎初圆顶。孝宗隆兴元年（一一六三），郑乔年漕淮西，迎之于无为军冶父寺开法。卷南岳下十五世，净因继成禅师法嗣。《嘉泰普灯录》卷一七、《五灯会元》卷一二有传。今录诗三十一首。
