高士奇（1645—1704年），字澹人，号瓶庐，又号江村。浙江绍兴府余姚县樟树乡高家村（今慈溪匡堰镇高家村）人，后入籍钱塘（今浙江杭州）。高士奇早年家贫，后在詹事府做记录官。康熙十五年（1676年）升为内阁中书，领六品俸薪，住在赏赐给他的西安门内。 高士奇每日为康熙帝讲书释疑，评析书画，极得信任。官至詹事府少詹事兼翰林院侍读学士。晚年又特授詹事府詹事、礼部侍郎。死后，被追谥文恪。他平生学识渊博，能诗文，擅书法，精考证，善鉴赏，所藏书画甚富。著有《左传纪事本末》、《春秋地名考略》、《清吟堂全集》等。
