《喻夫阻客》鉴赏
原文
楚竹燕歌动画梁，更阑重换舞衣裳。
公孙开阁招嘉客，知道浮云不久长。
赏析
这首诗中王韫秀用典贴切，展现了自己才女的史学功底，历来为后代文人赞赏。其中“知道浮云不久长”因为蕴含着哲理性被誉为名句。
开头一句“楚竹燕歌动画梁”，楚竹和燕歌，分别指代南北方的音乐，由此可见元载网罗了全国各地的佳丽。家中的美女之多，不言而喻。其中动一字，可见声音之大，绝非一个两个歌女在歌唱。画梁应该是指元载专门修建的芸辉堂，有金屋藏娇之意。“更阑重换舞衣裳”点明是在夜深时，元载还在观赏歌舞，早就沉醉于酒色之中，政务已经被他抛在脑后了。
接下来王韫秀笔锋一转，从现实中来到历史中。“公孙开阁招嘉客”一句中“公孙开阁”这个典故用的贴切自然，公孙宏，元朔中为丞相，封平津侯。为了收罗人才，就起客馆，开东阁以迎贤人，士人也因此而认为他是贤相。享年八十，死于丞相位。而他之后的几任丞相，由于作事乖戾，故多遭刑戮。王韫秀是想用这个典故告诉丈夫，富贵要想像公孙宏一样长久，要广纳人才，交友四方。“知道浮云不久长”这句是在前三句上得出的结果，结论更直白的来劝告元载，富贵如浮云一般，不可能长久，要早做打算，居安思危。
整首诗不仅体现了王韫秀的才女气质，更显示了她敏锐的政治观察力和洞悉人心的哲学思想，在表达上相对委婉，后世文人皆赞扬王韫秀能力在其丈夫元载之上。
